19th December Christmas Party and Buffet.  The Club's annual Christmas get together was held at GXSC and was complimented by another excellent buffet from John Price and Josie (a.k.a. Debbie).  Photo right: Chris Keys and Darren Pike discuss the highs and lows of the season with Brian Catt. 

 

7th November 'Partner's Evening - Fireworks and BBQ'. Our annual display of fireworks took place on Wednesday evening with John Price adding to the evening's activities with his usual array of food.

 

17th October Pool Competition. This was  deferred to  a later date. 

 

10th October Partner's Evening – Wraysbury to Banjul. Graham Samuel recounted his adventures on the charity drive to the Gambia last February in an old Nissan Sunny – the Yellow Peril. It was generally agreed by all present that some of the photographs were quite revealing.

 

19th September: More from Croatia. Tom Ryan was in the UK and brought some photos to update us on the latest events in Croatia, including Pam and Graham’s recent visit. 

 

5th September Partners Evening, – Quiz. Due to various absences amongst the members, the proposed Club Night didn't really materialise so the Quiz organised by Peter Nathan and Andy Greenland will be rearranged for a later date.

MCAC Foto-Jenic Fun Run & BBQ Sunday 12th August. Provisional results give victory to Adrian L'Estrange/Andy Greenland.   Paul Hopkinson was spotted on a number of occasions sporting new markings on his Alfa and congratulations go to to Rob 'must charge my laptop' Brook for the organisation.

1st August PARTNER'S CLUB NIGHT: For the second year running, Club Night moved to Croxley Green to take part in Classics on the Green.  Peter Nathan organised the MCAC stand which was accompanied by the karts, complete with garage and able mechanic Paul,  of Steven and Robert Jeeves.  There was a tremendous array of motor cars on display and, in the absence of any downpours this year, only the darkness brought procedures to an end. 

 

4th July PARTNER'S CLUB NIGHT: Peter Nathan's latest attempt at running a 'Boules on the Green' evening was thwarted by the weather.

 

6th June PARTNER'S CLUB NIGHT: INDOOR TREASURE HUNT was organised by Andy Greenland.  Winner TBA.

 

2nd May PARTNER'S CLUB NIGHT: APATHY ON THE GREEN.  Originally to be called BOULES ON THE GREEN, the event was renamed after few people showed any interest in taking part.  Thanks go to Peter Nathan for his sterling efforts in organising the evening.

 

4th April PARTNER'S CLUB NIGHT: CURRENT AFFAIRS QUIZ - organised by Mike Cawthra.

 

24th March PARTNER'S CLUB NIGHT: Pete Farmer's Skittles Evening was held at The Greyhound in Eton Wick.

 

7th March Table Top Rally. Tony Phillips 'Table Top Rally' was won by Rob Brook despite rolling his table in the latter stages of the event. 

 

7th February PARTNER'S CLUB NIGHT: Peter Nathan's Easy Quiz was won by the 'Table 3' team consisting of Valerie and Graham Gilmore, Rob Brook and Brian Catt who, with 36 points, were victorious over the 'Table 4' team (aka The Bar Team) consisting of Pete Farmer accompanied at various times by Malc Farmer, John Gibson, Andy Inskip and John Price with 35.5 points. 

 

Saturday 27th January Annual Dinner-Dance and Presentation of Awards  On Saturday, We returned to Stockley Park Golf Club for our premier social event of the year.  Our thanks go to Peter and Sarah Nathan who organised the evening.

 

10th January 2007 PARTNER'S CLUB NIGHT: Croatian Travelogue.  Following his move to his Croatian retreat, Tom Ryan gave a presentation on his move with pictures of his new home and the surrounding picturesque area.  Some more information and photos can be found in Tom's Sept 2006 article Is There Life after Rallying?  (10.01.2007).
